About me
I'm Neal, the lead tutor at Myers Tuition.
I established in July 2025 and have since supported a large cohort of GCSE students. Many students reaching two grades above their predicted grades with my support.
I began tutoring in 2022 at a nationwide tuition company and went on to work at an Alternative Provision in Greater London, working with students not suited to the mainstream school environment.
I believe students learn best when they are in a welcoming, light-hearted environment and that is how I always conduct myself in my sessions.
How it started and how it is going...
Established in July 2025, Myers Tuition went head first into the academic year of that September. Supporting nearly 20 students online and then introducing in-person group GCSE workshop sessions due to the high demand of students.
We have branched out to the local community and had a pop-up stall at the annual Caterham Carnival. This was a great opportunity to interact face-to-face with any enquiries and concerns that parents may have before seeking tuition.
In our first full year, we were very pleased with our GCSE results. Some students going two grades up from when they started with us.
For example, student X, who started with us in March went from a predicted grade 4 to a 6 in 3 months!
Reviews from Parents
How feedback is delivered
Parents are always kept updated with their child's progress.
Feedback is delivered either on the session at the end or in writing via email.
This is vital in ensuring parents are in the loop of how we are supporting their child.
Personalised Learning
Lessons designed to suit each student’s strengths and areas for growth. Using zoom's whiteboard feature, we are able to keep sessions interactive throuh visual aids and keep these in folders so there is always a record of your child's work.
